Look Forward to...
In Theater -
Brace yourself for comic chaos with a rip-roaring new production of Michael Frayn’s (Copenhagen) beloved comedy Noises Off, starring an incomparable cast of Broadway favorites under the direction of Tony and Olivier Award nominee Jeremy Herrin (Wolf Hall Parts 1 & 2). Opened January 14.
Our Mother's Brief Affair
Anna (Linda Lavin) makes a shocking confession to her grown children: an affair from her past that just might have resonance beyond the family. But how much of what she says is true? Opened January 20.
You have to wait until 2017 but Jerry Herman's classic musical will return to Broadway, starring Bette Midler.
When one is not enough, add a second show. On Wednesday, January 27th at 7pm and 9:30pm at The Metropolitan Room, an extraordinary parade of top musical theater stars will perform and honor Barbara Siegel‘s contributions to the theater. Barbara, a theater critic and columnist, has been a nominator for both the Outer Critics Circle and The Drama Desk (the latter for a total of 18 years, 12 of them as chairperson), and she has influenced the careers of countless performers. A percentage of the profits for this event will be turned back to the people Barbara loves so much by making this event a benefit for The Actor’s Fund.
Tickets are $30 plus a two-drink minimum
