"I met Corky in 1960 in Rome Italy where she was studying Italiano. We lost contact through the years.

It was so nice to learn that City Cabaret had a website and brought me up to speed regarding her performance schedule. I hope she will have a venue on the East coast somewhere.

Flute, harp, piano, what expression, what a gift !

Regards,"

"Dottore" Ron C.

"Many years ago I attended UCLA with Corky Hecht, now Corky Hale.  We

lived in the same sorority house, and one evening, while sitting

around the living room, Corky sat down at the piano and played a song

from an obscure jazz album I owned, and I was blown away by her

ability to play the song flawlessly.  It was then that she told me

she could hear a song once and have it memorized.  What a gift!  So

few people are able to listen to a piano recording and repeat it note

for note.  I have never forgotten Corky, but I learned in the early

1960s from her friend Andre Previn that she owned a dress shop on

Sunset Strip.  I was living in Michigan at the time and decided,

sadly, that she hadn't pursued a musical career.  A couple weeks ago,

I was telling my 9 year old grandson about Corky, and he asked me if

she still played music.  That question led me to Google, where I

learned from citycabaret.com that she had indeed continued her

musical career, with a capital M.  An email to citycabaret resulted

in Corky and I reconnecting, and I am hoping to see her soon in Los

Angeles." --  Ann W.

“Hello, Enjoyed looking at your site but I could not find a discography there. Did I miss it? I hope you will put one up. I just acquired my first Corky Hale album, the self-titled album on Gene Norman Presents. Enjoying it very much!

If you send out email announcements please let me know when you will be playing in Los Angeles.

Thank You,” Charles R., Los Angeles

"A few years ago we visited New York and went to Danny's to see a terrific performer, Corky Hale. Please tell them to have her back again. Where is she appearing these days?" Tess and Jerry H, Montclair, NJ

"I've been reading City Cabaret for the past few months and I simply must let you know: City Cabaret is great cabaret! Your words sing to me. When is Corky Hale coming back to New York?" Veronica Gentile, NY

"I recently had business in New York and decided to check out Corky Hale at Danny's. Business trips can be a downer but I found your article about Corky Hale in City Cabaret interesting because I used to shop at Hecht's. Anyway, I decided to give her a shot. It was the best part of my N.Y. trip. Her show was terrific. Incidentally, before going on other trips I'm also going to check out City Cabaret." Mark Danielson, NY
