“Smart and regal…good-humored
authority…emphatic phrasing…
and she gets better each year!”
Stephen Holden, The New York Times, December 14, 2005
"The phrase "keeping it
real" and all it suggests certainly applies to Baby Jane Dexter, a longtime
cabaret performer whose booming pop contralto is one of the more formidable
voices on the

“All About Love”
Ms. Dexter says, "I'm very excited
about this new show. Putting it all together musically with Ross Patterson from
the start has been rewarding. Everyone's journey in life in unique and I have
always been open to taking chances and exploring new waters as my
odyssey continues. Working with respected 2005 Emmy Award winning producer
Elissa Patterson helped me open new doors and
horizons. In this ever-changing world, this collaboration has also led me to
new visions on timely and age old questions - with a twist. "
The program will include compelling selections by
songwriters as diverse as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Leslie Bricusse,
Burt Bacharach & Hal David, Harry Nilsson, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Branlett and Kander & Ebb.
Ross Patterson is Musical Director/Arranger. Boots Maleson
is on bass. The show was conceived and directed by Elissa
Patterson.
